Welcome to Special Needs Sitters ("Special NeedsSitters," "we," "our," or "us").
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Special Needs Sitters mobile application, website and related services (collectively, the "Platform"). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
1. About Special Needs Sitters
Special Needs Sitters is a technology platform that connects families seeking childcare for children with special needs with independent caregivers ("Special Needs Sitters"). Special Needs Sitters does not employ caregivers, provide childcare services, supervise childcare, or guarantee the performance of any caregiver. We provide a marketplace that allows families and caregivers to connect.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Platform.
By using the Platform, you represent that the informationyou provide is accurate and complete.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
4. Family Responsibilities
Families agree to:
Provide accurate information about their childcare needs.
Communicate honestly with caregivers.
Treat caregivers respectfully.
Comply with all applicable laws.
Exercise their own judgment when selecting a caregiver.
Families are responsible for determining whether a caregiver is an appropriate match for their child.
5. Caregiver Responsibilities
Caregivers agree to:
Provide truthful profile information.
Maintain any required certifications or licenses.
Complete any required background screening.
Provide safe, professional, and respectful care.
Comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Misrepresentation of experience, certifications, or qualifications may result in suspension or permanent removal from the Platform.
6. Bookings and Payments
Bookings and payments are processed through the Platform. Families agree to pay all applicable fees associated with confirmed bookings. Caregivers agree to comply with payment procedures established by the Platform. Platform service fees may apply.
7. Background Checks
Certain caregivers may be required to complete a background screening before becoming eligible to receive bookings. Completion of a background check does not guarantee future conduct, and families remain responsible for making their own decisions when selecting a caregiver.
8. User Conduct
Users agree not to:
Provide false information.
Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users.
Use the Platform for unlawful purposes.
Attempt to interfere with the operation or security of the Platform.
Upload harmful software or malicious code.
9. Ratings and Reviews
Families and caregivers may leave reviews based on their genuine experiences. Reviews should be truthful, respectful, and free ofoffensive or misleading content. We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate these Terms.
10. Intellectual Property
All content, logos, trademarks, graphics, software, and materials available on the Platform are the property of Special Needs Sitters or its licensors and may not be copied, modified, or distributed without permission.
11. Disclaimer
Special Needs Sitters provides a platform that connects families and independent caregivers. We do not guarantee:
The quality of childcare.
Availability of caregivers.
Compatibility between families and caregivers.
The actions or conduct of any user.
Families are responsible for evaluating caregivers before booking services.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Special Needs Sitters shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to the use of the Platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid to us by the user, if any, during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
13. Suspension and Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms or poses a risk to the safety or integrity of thePlatform.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the Effective Date. Continued use of the Platform after the changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

SMS Terms & MessagingBy creating an account with Special Needs Sitters and providing your mobile phone number, you consent to receive one-time SMS verification messages to verify your identity during account registration or login.These messages are sent only for account authentication and security purposes.
